Phonmap Help Topics
The PHONMAP KEY is a unique key (made up of numbers and letters) generated by Phonmap
once it is installed on your computer. This key is combined with your invoice details
to produce a unique ACTIVATION KEY to activate Phonmap and make it work on your computer.
Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Phonmap and installed it on your computer.
Once you have done this start Phonmap by double clicking on the Phonmap icon in your start menu
or on your desktop.
Once you have started Phonmap you will see the main program window. Below is a picture
to illustrate what it should look like on your computer.
In the main program window click on the button marked 'About'.
This will open up the 'About' dialog box.
Now click on the 'Registration details' tab. Here you will
find the Phonmap Key.
Click the button 'Copy Phonmap Key' to copy the key. If this button is greyed out then you are not logged into your computer as an administrator.
You can now paste this into the registration form when you are logged into this site (see the picture below)...
...or you can paste into an email to send to us.

registration details.
Copy and paste ALL the registration details EXACTLY as received into Phonmap (on your computer) and click on SAVE DETAILS.
It should look like the picture below...
If the save button is greyed out then you are not logged into your computer as an administrator.
IMPORTANT: The details must be copied EXACTLY as they were received from Phonmap.com
For example:
If you have received invoice name: Joe Bloggs
In Phonmap you must have Joe Bloggs
NOT joe bloggs, j bloggs, Peter Bloggs, Joe P Bloggs, ... etc. etc. but ONLY Joe Bloggs!
In some Windows setups it is not possible to automatically paste into other
documents. This can be due to a number of reasons but most likely it is
security related. Especially Windows Vista (and various AntiVirus software)
have new security settings which prevent programs automatically steering
other programs without permission (you will need to see your software manual
to see how to set this).
A way round this (other than disabling whatever feature is
causing this in Windows) is to change the 'Paste' button in Phonmap to 'Copy'.
This means Phonmap just copies the script but doesn't try to automatically paste it.
You can set this in Phonmap "Options" (found in the "About" screen).
